orchard out to make way for more vineyards. There are beautiful views of both
There are facilities for
picnicking and lots of room for kids and dogs to go for a romp (as long as the
dogs aren’t chasers of chickens). Our thirteen-year-old son, Kevin, keeps our
tasting room kid friendly with a play area inside. We have Legos and blocks to
play with, and fruit drinks and water for those who don’t drink wine. Kids can
feed the chickens or play with our dogs, L.E. (4/02) and Max (5/05) and Bondo
(10/05), or pet the cats (Tigger 5/98, Sally Ann 5/02, Stumpy 4/04). They live
for attention (and food). We also have some geese and a couple of ponds with
fish. We also have cows and sheep and goats, very pastoral!

Kevin’s Jellybean store. He also makes and sell wine glass charms (the anklets
that go around the foot of the wine glass so you don’t forget which glass is
yours at a party). Kevin has seasonal items that he grows himself, like
cherries or melons, and items that he chooses like Dilettante chocolate-covered
dried fruits. He is saving money for college (six years from now).
Barbara and Paul run the
tasting room. Paul particularly tries to be around on Saturday afternoons to
answer the technical and esoteric wine questions you may have. With over 20
years in the wine world, Paul has plenty of knowledge (and opinion!) to share. Click here for a primer on How to Taste Wine (according to Paul).
Please come by and visit us
anytime. We always have lots of fun in our tasting room!
