Being in the midst of a region famous for apples, pears, and peaches,
one understands the need for a wine for apple pie, poached pears, peach
cobbler, and the great American classic, pumpkin pie.
Angelicas were originally made at the California missions as communion
wine. Time has now allowed it to travel to our own Thanksgiving table. We make
this for giving thanks with family and friends at the meal’s end—with pie or
cheesecake or crème brûlée!
